Ab Pentatonic Minor Scale

The Pentatonic Minor Scale is the first scale most guitarists learn, and the backbone of blues and rock soloing. It is the Minor Scale without its 2nd and 6th, and each of its Boxes has two notes on every string, so it falls easily under the fingers. It fits minor chords and, in a blues, dominant 7th chords too. Its first Box, around the Root on the low E string, is where countless rock solos start.
