B Melodic Minor Scale

The Melodic Minor Scale raises both the 6th and the 7th of the natural minor, so it sounds minor at the bottom and major at the top. In classical music it climbs this way and comes back down as the natural minor, which smooths out melodies that rise to the root. Jazz players use only the rising form, in both directions, and call it the Jazz Minor Scale.
