C Phrygian Dominant Scale

The Phrygian Dominant Scale is the fifth mode of the Harmonic Minor Scale: Phrygian with a major 3rd. The step and a half from its flat 2nd up to the 3rd gives the sound heard in flamenco, Middle Eastern and klezmer music, and in a lot of metal. Use it over the major V chord of a minor key, or over a dominant chord with a flat 9th.
