C Whole-Half Diminished Scale

The Whole-Half Diminished Scale alternates whole and half steps, which gives it eight notes and a shape that repeats every three frets. Because of that symmetry there are only three different ones. It fits diminished 7th chords, adding a note a whole step above each chord tone, and jazz players use it to colour diminished passing chords.
