E Whole Tone Scale

The Whole Tone Scale moves only in whole steps, so it has six notes, no half steps and no strong sense of home. That dreamy, unresolved sound is Debussy's, and the film cue for a dream sequence. There are only two different whole tone scales, and the shape repeats every two frets. It fits augmented chords and dominant 7th chords with a sharp 5th.
