F Lydian Dominant Scale

The Lydian Dominant Scale is Mixolydian with a raised 4th, or Lydian with a flat 7th. It is the fourth mode of the Jazz Minor Scale and the natural sound of a 7#11 chord. Its bright, slightly unusual colour suits a dominant 7th chord that doesn't resolve down a 5th, such as the bVII7 of pop and rock, or a bII7 tritone substitute in jazz.
