Eb Aeolian Scale

Aeolian is the Minor Scale seen as a mode: the sixth mode of the major scale, played from its 6th degree. Among the minor modes it sits between brighter Dorian, which has a natural 6th, and darker Phrygian, which has a flat 2nd. Thinking of it as a mode helps when soloing over minor progressions such as i, bVI and bVII, a classic rock and metal sound.
